Phoebis avellaneda (Herrich-Schäffer, 1865), or Red-Splashing Sulphur inhabits Cuba.
The butterfly was discovered by Herrich-Schäffer in 1865 and named to honour the Cuban poetess Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda.
