Trogonoptera brookiana

Trogonoptera brookiana(Wallace, 1855), or Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing inhabits rainforests of Borneo and the Malaysian Peninsula. The butterfly got its name after Sir James Brooke, the first White Rajah of 19th century Sarawak.
Trogonoptera Brookiana is the national butterfly of Malaysia.
The span of its wings is about 12-16 cm.
