Chrysopsyche mirifica (Butler, 1878) moth was first described by English entomologist, arachnologist and ornithologist Arthur Gardiner Butler in 1878.

The moth  is found in Angola, Sierra Leone, Cameroon and Nigeria.

Its wingspan is about 50 mm.
